Barrington River

SAILING: SATURDAY, JUNE 21

Suggested departure from Ida Lewis YC at 1100.

Bill and Nancy Flynn have offered to coordinate a flotilla departure at this time since Magic Frog will be sailing from Fall River to Barrington.

Channel 72 will be used for flotilla communications while underway.

High tide is at 1018 which means there will be current against us going north.

This is unavoidable, so we will have to count on a little less speed over the ground.

The distance is approximately 14 miles, so everyone should be able to arrive sometime

around 1530 hours to secure moorings.

MOORINGS:     Mooring for the night will come from spots vacated by seasonal owners.  Barrington Harbormaster,  Warren Harbormaster and Barrington Yacht

Club will be semi-coordinated in finding us spots.

All are served by the Barrington Yacht Club launch service.

Barrington Harbormaster:  Ray Souza, cell phone (401) 437-3930

Tentatively: Full Circle, Summer Jazz, Hurrah

Warren Harbormaster: Matt Colouro, cell phone (401) 829-1271 or VHF channel 16                Tentatively: Joie de Vivre, Coffey Break, Ilaria

Barrington Yacht Club: manager, Scott Nichols (401) 245-1181

       Tentatively: Magic Frog

Barrington Yacht Club launch service 0800 to 1900, VHF channel 68

SHORESIDE:

Barrington Yacht Club: cash bar 1600 - 1730

Tyler Point Grill: dinner, 1730 dinner.

Hostess/owner is Cheryl.

We will be seated at tables of 10 and billed with individual checks for each boat/crew.

Be sure to alert your waiter/waitress as to which people get billed together.

We should be aware of the launch closing time of 1900.

SAILING, SUNDAY, JUNE 22

High tide in Newport is 1101.

Suggested departure from Barrington at 1030 which should give you fair current most of the way and hopefully with a nice breeze.
