To the membership of the Ida Lewis Yacht Club,

It is with great enthusiasm that we write to you today to share good news on a project that we took on this past winter.  

We received word in April that our application for approval for the newly formed Lime Rock Foundation, a 501(c)(3), was granted.  

The Lime Rock Foundation, a Rhode Island Corporation, was formed primarily to provide funds for the purpose of restoring, maintaining, and preserving the historically and architecturally significant buildings, our club house, and the supporting marine elements.  

We are excited about what lies ahead, as we will work with the ILYC Board to determine a long term plan. Included in that plan will be an engineering survey to identify and prioritize what’s needed to be certain the Club we have all enjoyed for years, will survive for many generations to come.  

We are still getting organized and plan to have a meet and greet with the membership this summer, to go into more detail, and answer any questions you may have.
